​WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PREPARE FOR TREATMENTS?

​Limiting exposure to the sun and tanning beds for 2 weeks before treatment. Do not attempt to pluck, or wax for 4-6 weeks prior and after your treatment. You can generally resume work and most normal activities immediately following treatment.

​WHAT ARE TREATMENTS LIKE? ARE THEY PAINFUL?

Fast, gentle, and easy. No pain medication is required, but a cooling spray is applied to skin milliseconds prior to the laser pulse, to ensure that the treatment is as comfortable as it is effective. Laser energy is delivered through a small hand-piece operated by your practitioner. The laser delivers an intense beam of light, which is absorbed by the skin and converted to heat. The heat is then absorbed by the cells being targeted, while the surrounding tissue remains unaffected. When the procedure is complete, most of the hair wipes off right away. The remaining hair falls out over a period of about a week or two.

​ARE THERE ANY POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?

Your skin may be slightly red immediately following the procedure.This typically lasts from a few minutes to several hours after the procedure. Dark spots will go darker, before eventually going light. To greatly minimize the risk of complication, sun exposure needs to be limited at least two weeks before and after treatment.

​HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?

Treatments should be repeated every 4-6 weeks for an average of three to five treatments.
